So, it is very important to note that you will have to know the right steps to clean your toilet. Only with right steps, you will be able to maintain the required hygiene required for your toilet.

Things that are required for cleaning the toilet:-

  • Toilet Brush (A sturdy one)
  • Gloves (Good quality)
  • Toilet Bowl Cleaner (Bleach or Cleaning Spray)
  • Disinfectant Spray (A mixture of water and vinegar)

Let’s take a look at some of the steps which will help you in cleaning the toilet really well:

  • Brush and cleaner: Get hold of a sturdy toilet brush and a good cleaner in order to clean the toilet and the bathroom. Also make sure that you wear good quality gloves in order to save your hands from harsh chemicals. In place of a cleaner, you can also use bleach.

  • Clean the bowl: In a first step to clean the toilet, you will have to start off with cleaning the bowl. You should properly apply the toilet cleaner in the bowl and allow it to set in for around 10 minutes. Apply it inside the rim as well so that even it can get free of germs. Once it sets for 10 minutes, use a toilet brush to clean the bowl and the surrounding areas. Be sure that everything around the rim also gets washed off. Sturdily brush the bowl and the surrounding areas so that it is free from germs as well as gets squeaky clean!

  • Clean the surroundings of the toilet bowl: Spray the toilet cleaner or the bleach outside the toilet along with the disinfectant. You should spray it from the top levels of the tank and work your way down. Even put some toilet cleaner on the top of the toilet lid to clean it. Take help of a sponge, rub it and wash it out with hot water. This will help you clean off the germs.

  • Work on the rim of the toilet: Open up the lid and now start working on the rim of the toilet. Cleaning this part of the toilet is the grossest thing as it is not always a good experience! You will have to put ample amount of disinfectant into the rim and elbow off the grease.

  • A final brush: Once the toilet cleaner has soaked in well inside the bowl and the rim, give a final sturdy brushing to it using toilet brush. Give the right amount of pressure in order to ensure that you can make the toilet bowl squeaky clean.

  • Keep your toilet clean always: You will definitely agree to the fact that cleaning the toilet is important. But more important is to keep it clean always. Wipe off the rim down after every use in order to let the toilet remain clean. This will also ensure that your other guests do not get any unwanted surprise when they visit the bathroom! Moreover, it will also ensure that your cleaning day is comparatively easier.

If you follow the above mentioned steps, then hopefully you will be able to use a clean toilet all throughout!
