Being healthy is a cycle (and hopefully a perfect balance) of getting enough sleep, healthy eating, alternate routines and trying to fit in workouts where it seems like time is constrained.

Technology has made it easier for us to track our physical progress. Working out and getting healthier is possible for almost anyone. No matter your body type, stamina, metabolism rate or sport and intensity preference, there’s bound to be an app for you.

Don’t shock your body though. You have to slowly ease into it to avoid injuries. Muscles don’t grow overnight and weight isn’t shed off after just one session. Everything takes time, especially if you’re a beginner.

Here are some apps that are sure to assist you in your journey to a healthier you

To get you up and moving:

Calling all (beginner) runners, bikers and marathon sprinters! With Runkeeper, you don’t necessarily have to run. You have other options, like walking, jogging, or riding a bike, too. You can also input data like your weight and desired pace so you can track your progress better. Proud of your progress for that day? Feel free to share your achievement through your social media networks.

You can connect it to your Apple watch and run, hands-free. It also works with Pebble and Fitbit. It wasn’t awarded “App Store’s Best of 2015” for nothing. This is an alternative to the popular Nike+ Run Club app, which is strictly made for running.

A mix of Pilates and blogging:

The Blogilates program, started by Cassey Ho, offers in-app purchases that have recipes (Cheap Clean Eats), reminders and extensive guides to make sure you’re eating a balanced diet.

It’s easy to find people to talk to about the program as you go, since the app has a forum for your fellow “POPsters”. Discuss your concerns, share stories, motivate each other and even schedule a meet with a fellow POPster. If you’re hesitant about paying for the in-app purchases, you have the option of switching over to YouTube and performing some of her workout videos. Save or bookmark, then alternate them, making sure you target all the areas of your body equally.

The shortest workout ever:

Out of all apps, seven will be the one that makes you feel guiltiest if you skip out on your workouts. One circuit takes just seven minutes – YES, SEVEN – and can get your blood pumping and sweat dripping. This application aims to convince individuals to adapt to a regular workout regime in the shortest time possible.

To further motivate users, seven provides three “lives”. If you skip a day, your number of hearts decreases. Your progress will be tracked and you will earn rewards as you go too.
The only equipment this app requires is your own body weight, a chair and a wall. Plus, there’s no need for internet or data use at all. Do as many circuits as you can handle for optimal results.

All-in-one Fitbit:

An all-in-one app, Fitbit helps you track more than just your workout. Its activity tracker takes note of all your steps, distance, calories consumed and burned, liquid intake, weight and sleep. It’s easy to navigate interface makes maintaining overall health convenient.

When it comes to calorie intake, its barcode scanner can recognize products out of their 350,000 database. This is so you don’t go overboard with your carbs and saturated fat ingestion. You can also keep track of your total time awake, asleep or restless with their sleep features, that way, you can adjust your sleep schedule better and wake up in a much healthier mood.

These innovations in technology are there to make you feel better about yourself, not worse. Take advantage while they’re still free, accessible and simple, and particularly while you’re still young and able.

Once you adjust to a healthier standard of living, you’ll probably start thinking twice about that slice of pizza. Whether or not you feel too guilty about it is up to you – and your daily progress records.

At least you checked its calorie content, right?
